On July 5, 2008, HB 7523, the Global Warming Index Act was enacted into law. The law requires a label that complies with the requirements of the California vehicle labeling program. Rhode Island now joins California, Connecticut, New York, Vermont and Washington in enacting GHG labeling laws.
