LEV III

On May 11, 2010, CARB announced that it will hold a public workshop on May 18th in El Monte to discuss the LEV III rulemaking.  At this workshop, ARB staff plans to cover four topic areas as follows:

1. vehicle mass reduction through advanced materials and optimized vehicle designs as a means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. 
2. GHG standards for mobile air conditioning (AC) systems.  
3. issues related to vehicle particulate matter emissions.    
4. an update on proposed evaporative and supplemental federal test procedure requirements.
